SECTION IX
BYLAW AMENDMENTS
- Procedure: These bylaws may be amended at any meeting of the State Central Committee by a two-thirds vote of those present. Any member of the State Central Committee may propose an amendment by submitting it in writing to the state secretary, who shall include it in the notice of the next regular or special meeting. No proposed amendment may be considered unless it was included in the meeting notice.
- Amendment of Proposals: Any proposal for amending the bylaws may be amended, provided that such amendments must relate directly to the line and section originally proposed for amendment.
All bylaws submissions will be reviewed by the Bylaws Committee prior to the communications for the next State Central Committee (SCC) meeting. The review will include a recommendation from the Bylaws Committee to the SCC on the acceptance of the bylaw amendment. Ultimately, it is the SCC who decides which bylaws pass, but in an effort to streamline the process, this pre-review (with associated research) will be made available. The reviews will be included in the packet of information that will be distributed to the SCC at least 14 days prior to the meeting.
Deadline is passed. Submissions are now closed.
