Events will highlight election integrity legislation and include remarks from SDGOP Chairman Jim Eschenbaum
PIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Republican Party announced today that grassroots activist Scott Presler will visit South Dakota for two rallies focused on the SAVE America Act, legislation currently under consideration in the United States Senate.
The rallies will take place Saturday, March 21, at 10:00 am MT in Rapid City at the Hotel Alex Johnson and Sunday, March 22 at 3:00pm CT in Sioux Falls as the Ramada by Wyndham Sioux Falls Airport, bringing together South Dakotans interested in election integrity and civic engagement.
Presler, known nationally for his grassroots voter engagement efforts, will speak at both events about the importance of strengthening public confidence in American elections and encouraging citizen involvement in the legislative process.
South Dakota Republican Party Chairman Jim Eschenbaum has been invited to address attendees at both rallies.
“The integrity of our elections is fundamental to the health of our republic,” Eschenbaum said. “South Dakotans care deeply about ensuring that our elections remain secure, transparent, and worthy of the public’s trust. These events provide an opportunity for citizens to learn more about the SAVE America Act and make their voices heard.”
The SAVE America Act includes provisions aimed at strengthening election integrity, including requirements for proof of citizenship when registering to vote and photo identification when casting a ballot.
The South Dakota Republican Party will also encourage citizens to follow the Senate debate when the legislation comes to the floor so they can observe the proceedings and the final vote.
“These rallies are about civic engagement,” Eschenbaum added. “In a representative republic, elected officials should hear directly from the people they serve.”
