SD GOP Chairman Responds to Secretary of State’s Disclosure Error

I commend Secretary of State, Monae Johnson for owning up to the mistake that was made in releasing the protected information in an attempt to comply with the requirements of newly enacted HB1062.

I have spoken with the Secretary of State about this and she regrets the mistake that was made within her office.

We expect government to operate without any mistakes, but in reality mistakes sometimes happen and we have to acknowledge them, apologize, and move on.
